Ghana international Antoine Semenyo delivered a standout performance on Sunday afternoon, earning the Man of the Match award as AFC Bournemouth drew 1-1 with Manchester United in the English Premier League.
Starting on the right wing, Semenyo tormented the Red Devils’ defense throughout the Round 34 encounter.
He opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing coolly after being set up by teammate Evanilson.
The 25-year-old’s ninth league goal of the season had Bournemouth poised for victory, but Manchester United struck late in stoppage time through Rasmus Hojlund to salvage a point.
Despite the disappointing result for Bournemouth, Semenyo’s lively performance earned him the Man of the Match honour with a match rating of 7.79.
In addition, Semenyo achieved a personal milestone, surpassing Chelsea legend Michael Essien to become the fifth-highest scoring Ghanaian in Premier League history with 18 goals — one more than Essien.
