English-born Ghanaian midfielder Brendan Sarpong Wiredu has earned a spot in the EFL League One team of match-week 15 after scintillating display.
Sarpong Wiredu, who has been out for several months, made his return to the turf aiding Fleetwood Town to record a slim away win over Reading FC on Tuesday evening.
The 23-year-old central midfielder has been sidelined with a knee injury since August when he suffered the setback in match-week two game against Cambridge United.
He has been rated as one of the best box-to-box enforcers in the English third-tier league since joining Fleetwood Town from Colchester United in 2022.
Sarpong Wiredu is eligible to represent Ghana or England in the future.
