Having spent time at the youth ranks of the King Power Stadium outfit, the winger is still dreaming of playing in the English top-flight as he's now enjoying his stints in the Belgian elite division contest
Ghana international winger Kamal Sowah has said he still relishes the opportunity of playing in the English Premier League after spending three years at Leicester City with the U21 youth team set-up.
The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Standard Liege from parent club Club Brugge, is enjoying his time this term following a torrid time last season.
Following a resurgence of form, a move to the English top-flight has once again been mooted and the Right to Dream Academy product is not shying away from such speculation given his eagerness to stage a return to the English soil someday to continue with his playing career.
"Don't all Africans, all Ghanaians do it? And yes, I still believe I have it in me. Otherwise I would have stopped playing football already," the former OH Leuven wideman told newspaper De Zondag when asked about his desire to return to English football in the near future.
The Black Stars winger added on his reunion with his former Club Brugge boss Carl Hoefkens : "I immediately saw that I still had the same bond with Hoefkens. That was all I needed. I am playing football again and I love Liège."
Sowah has so far scored 2 goals in 5 league game appearances for Standard Liege in the ongoing 2023/24 Pro League campaign.
He has one cap at the international level for Ghana at the men's senior national team the Black Stars.
