Black Stars winger Ernest Nuamah says he is ready to make his mark at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after returning to the national team following a year out through injury.
Speaking from Ghana’s training camp in Cardiff ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Wales, Nuamah said he was excited to be back with the team.
"It's been good. It feels good to be back around the team. It's been one year since I haven't been here, but it feels good. Everyone is dedicated. We are all happy and ready to give it all for the competition," Nuamah said.
The 22-year-old said he needs to get used to head coach Carlos Queiroz's style, but working together as a team is most important.
"Every coach has their style of play, and we need to adapt to his style. That is the most important," he added.
Nuamah also thanked Ghanaians for supporting him through his recovery.
"I want to thank Ghanaians for your support and your prayers. I've been out for a while. It's all your prayers that I'm here today. I can't wait to get started," he said.
The winger who is set to make his World Cup debut, described the tournament as a lifelong dream realised.
"It's always been a dream to wear the national team jersey and go to the world's biggest stage of football, which is the World Cup. I can't wait to give it all. This has been my dream since I was a kid, and now this is the moment," Nuamah said.
He promised to give everything for Ghana.
"The challenge is going to be tough, but with hard work and dedication, we are going to achieve something. With all your prayers, we can do something this time. You should expect the Nuamah you know," he added.
Ghana will kick off their World Cup campaign against Panama at BMO Field in Toronto on June 17 before facing England in Boston on June 23. They will then complete the group stage against Croatia at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on June 27.
