The ex-FC Copenhagen defender is reportedly set to stage a return to the Turkish top-flight after parting company with fellow elite side Beşiktaş SK during the summer
Ghana international defender Daniel Amartey is on the verge of joining Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor, with personal terms over his services already agreed upon ahead of the upcoming January transfer window, according to multiples reports from the Turkish media.
The 29-year-old, who had his contract terminated by the Istanbul-based club in September, remains unattached and he's now set to link up with the Papara Park outfit in the coming days.
Fanatik has indicated that the former Leicester City stopper will be inking a one-and-a-half-year deal plus a further year extension if he finally lands in the next transfer window.
Before severing ties with Beşiktaş SK, Amartey figured in 18 games across all competitions in this current football campaign.
He's so far been cap-tied 55 times by the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars at the international level.
