The 23-year-old nimble left-footed winger is returning to his mother club in Belgium following an unsuccessful loan stint with the Danish top-flight campaigners this term

Newly-promoted Danish Superligaen side AaB Fodbold has declined the option of signing Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Toku on a permanent basis after joining them on loan from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side OH Leuven during the 2023/24 football season.

The ex-Black Starlets attacking midfielder together with Kenyan international player Richard Odada have both been released to their respective clubs, according to sporting director Ole Jan Kappmeier via his club's official website: "Richard and Emmanuel have each made their own contribution to the team and our promotion, for which they must be greatly thanked.

"However, in both cases we have agreed to say goodbye after the season, and we wish both Richard and Emmanuel all the best for the future in their respective careers."

Toku figured in 20 games, scoring once across all competitions for AaB for their promotion into the top-flight this season.

He is yet to earn his international cap with the men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
