The Italian Fourth Tier outfit have announced the signing of the Ghanaian enforcer in an undisclosed period of contract
Ghana international midfielder Godfred Donsah has joined Italian Serie D side Chieti FC, the club have confirmed.
The 28-year-old is linking up with the Stadio Guido Angelini campaigners on a free transfer this summer.
Announcing the deal with the Ghana U20 star, the Chieti-based club have said via their Instagram page: "An agreement has been reached for the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Godfred Donsah to Chieti FC 1922! The agreement has been reached and will be formalized by the respective legal offices in the coming days."
"Once the bureaucratic process is completed, Donsah will officially be part of our black and green family."
"With high-level experience in teams such as Bologna, Cagliari and Hellas Verona in Serie A, and after playing in the Turkish Super Lig, Donsah is ready to bring his energy and experience to the midfield of Chieti FC."
"At just 28 years old, he is already a player with an extensive international career and with appearances for the Ghana national team."
"This is a big step for Chieti, and we are confident that Donsah's arrival will help us reach new heights during the season."
"Welcome Godfred, we can't wait to see you on the pitch!"
The addition of Donsah to their midfield options will now serve as a morale booster for them in their quest to gain promotion into the third-tier contest next season given his vast experience and stints with Hellas Verona, Palermo, Cagliari, Bologna and Crotone in the Italian football competitions.
He's so far been cap-tied once by the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
