Defender Jerome Opoku was among the players to arrive back early for pre-season training at İstanbul Başakşehir ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Ghana international joined the Turkish Super Lig outfit on a three-year permanent contract in June after previously playing for the club on a season-long loan.

“A 3-year contract was signed with our player using the option of Jerome Opoku, whom we rented from the Portuguese club Arouca at the beginning of the 2023-2024 season with the option to purchase.

“We wish success to Jerome Opoku, who will continue his career as a valuable member of the Başakşehir family,” the Turkish Club said on Wednesday, June 26.

Opoku who has been a key player for the Orange-Navy Blue since joining from Arouca arrived at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim grounds with other teammates as coach Çağdaş Atan took them through a light fitness work as he hopes to get a full house in the coming days.
