Ghana international, Jerome Opoku, notched from a spot-kick to scoop a point for Istanbul Başakşehir in their 1-1 draw stalemate against Eyüpspor at the Fatih Terim Stadium on Monday afternoon.
The round 10 Turkish Super Lig clash which was the first meeting between the two club's lived up to the billing as Eyüpspor opened the scoring in the 28th minute through Mame Thiam,
However, Başakşehir kept pushing after recess with their breakthrough coming in the 59th minute mark as Opoku converted from a spot-kick to level matters. Opoku saw full throttle of the game as he robustly controlled the backline till the full 90 minutes.
Opoku's Ghanaian compatroit, Prince Ampem featured for Eyüpspor as they shared the spoils in a keenly contested showdown.
