The German second division side are reportedly eyeing the services of the 27-year-old defender in an effort to secure his loan deal from the Swiss top tier outfit this January
Ghana international defender Stephan Ambrosius has popped up on the radar of 2. Bundesliga side Karlsruher SC as they are considering signing him on loan from Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen, an emerging report from the German media has indicated.
The former Hamburger SV centre-back, who linked up with the Swiss outfit in a three-year deal in the summer of 2024, has so far found game time hard to come by this term after returning from a lengthy injury layoff in this current campaign.
According to Karlsruhe-based newspaper Badische Neueste Nachrichten, the Wildparkstadion campaigners are looking forward to augmenting their defensive department and have now billed the Ghanaian defender to be the ideal man to fit in that role in this second half of the season.
Ambrosius has now found himself warming on the bench and would fancy a loan move elsewhere so as to save his dwindling fortune at the Kybunpark having taken in 4 appearances only in the Swiss top-flight so far this season.
He has so far figured in two friendly games for Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars after switching international allegiance to represent the West African powerhouse in 2022.
