The talented left-back has committed his future at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps outfit until the summer of 2026.

Ghana international Gideon Mensah has signed a contract extension with French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre keeping him at the club until 2026.

The 26-year-old, who arrived at Auxerre in 2022 on a three-year contract from Austrian Bundesliga giants Red Bull Salzburg, has extending his contract with the club for additional year.

Mensah has been a key member of the Auxerre team and made 55 appearances. He also helped the club secure promotion back to Ligue 1 after a brief stint in Ligue 2.

He capped 26 times for the senior national team of Ghana and has also represented the West African nation at the FIFA World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.

Mensah has had a difficult start of the 2024/25 season with a knee problem and made a return to play his first game of the season in Auxerre's 3-0 win over Brest.
