The 25-year-old found the back of the net in the 74th minute to start the fightback when his side were trailing by 2-0 before subsequently Denis Zakaria levelled the score in the dying embers.
Salisu's performance was highlighted by his solid defensive contributions, which included winning two out of three ground duels and making three crucial interceptions.
The 25-year-old center-back also showcased his goal-scoring ability, netting one of Monaco's two goals in the closely fought encounter.
He has been named in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week on the back of stellar display in the midweek and had all these achieved in just his second game in the competition history.
Selected by UEFA's technical observer panel, Salisu's inclusion in the Team of the Week underscores his rising influence in the competition as AS Monaco continue their quest for a deep run in this year's Champions League.
Reacting to the goal, the stalwart center-back despite been happy for his goal praised their team spirit having fought till the end to avoid a defeat.
