Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers has extolled the potential of Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp.
The Ghana defender who can operate at left-back, in midfield, or further forward joined the Scottish champions on loan until the end of the season on Monday, February 3.
According to Rodgers, Schlupp's characteristics strongly correlate with the DNA" of the Hoops team.
Rodgers went further to emphasize the expectation everyone has for his performance and stated that he sees Schlupp as "well," adapting and "understanding the role he will play."
“I am really pleased that we have been able to bring Jeffrey to the club. I know he will love it at Celtic and I am sure our fans will love him and what he can bring to us,” said Rodgers.
"He is a fantastic guy, someone with real high-level experience and with great attributes including power, pace and versatility.
"I know that he can be a really important addition to our squad this season."
For the match against Dundee at the Celtic Park on Wednesday, February 5, there is uncertainty about whether the Ghana international will see his first minutes with Celtic following his transfer from Crystal Palace. However, his inclusion in the starting eleven seems likely, according to the tests.
