Former Accra Great Olympics star player, Maxwell Abbey Quaye, has officially joined Norwegian club Raufoss IL.

Abbey Quaye, who left Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics at the beginning of the 2022-23 season, has signed a three-year deal with Raufoss IL as a free agent.

The talented striker previously represented the Ghana Black Stars team during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon, where Ghana was eliminated in the group stages.

Abbey Quaye played a vital role for the Great Olympics, also known as the DADE Boys, during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, contributing significantly to the team's performance.

Across two seasons, he scored an impressive tally of 23 goals in 61 matches, showcasing his scoring prowess. His outstanding performances earned him a place in both the senior national team, the Black Stars, and the Black Galaxies team.

Quaye was a transfer target for Hearts of Oak who were keen to booster their squad with the 25-year-old.

Raufoss IL, currently placed tenth on the league table with nine points from eight matches, welcomes Abbey Quaye as they aim to improve their position in the league.
