The man on the touchline at the Olympiastadion has confirmed an interest from the Finnish outfit for the services of the ex-Club Brugge youth midfielder as they are open to cashing in on him to his current suitors in this winter window
Helsingborgs IF boss Stevie Grieve has revealed that his side have received an offer from an unnamed Finnish club for Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Asoma.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Swedish Superettan side on a four-year deal from Allsvenskan side Västerås SK in 2024, is likely to be moved on to his current suitors by his employers given their determination to recoup a significant fee over his sale ahead of the new football season.
''We have received an offer from a team in Finland,'' the Scottish gaffer said of the bid for the Ghana-prospect midfielder to his club's official website. He continued; ''We are at a stage where he has to make a decision, if he wants to accept the offer. I felt that the best thing was to take him off training today and the game tomorrow, so that he can focus on his decision. There are a couple of teams that are interested and there is a concrete proposal.''
Asoma took in 28 appearances for Helsingborgs lF during the 2024-25 football season.
The Berekum-born player having migrated to Belgium at a very young age, is still eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Belgium national youth teams.
