The Swedish lowly division outfit have reportedly snapped up the signature of the forward of Ghanaian origin from the Finnish elite side ahead of the start of the new football season

Superettan club Helsingborgs IF have landed the services of German-born Ghanaian forward Kevin Appiah Nyarko from Finnish Veikkausliiga club SJK Seinäjoki, a report from the Swedish media has indicated.

The 24-year-old, who linked up with the OmaSP Stadion outfit on a free transfer in a two-year deal in the summer of 2025, is set to stage a return to the Swedish football contests following spell with Varbergs BoIS.

According to Swedish news outlet Fotbolltransfers, the Ghana-prospect attacker is an inch away from sealing his move to the Di Röe, with little details over the contractual obligations between both clubs soon to be reached.

Dutchman manager Stevie Grieve is behind the transfer deal of the former SC Fortuna Köln youth star given his keenness to reunite with him after both spending time together at SJK Seinäjoki in Finland.

Appiah took in 10 matches by scoring 3 times for the Kerho across all competitions during the 2025-26 campaign.

Born and raised in Germany to Ghanian parents, the 24-year-old remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
