The Swedish second division side have reportedly landed the services of the 32-year-old defender, with his deal set to expire at the end of the current campaign

Ghanaian centre-back Joseph Boffoe has joined Superettan club Örebro SK on a short-term contract, a report has indicated in the Swedish media.

The ex-Helsingborgs IF defender was unattached since leaving Halmstads BK following the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Per Swedish outlet NA-sporten, Boffoe, who had trials with Allsvenskan side IFK Värnamo in June this year, has teamed up with the Behrn Arena campaigners until the end of the 2025 football season.

The report added that the experienced defender is expected to make his first outing with his side when they come up against  Umeå FC in the Superettan contest on Monday.

He has a vast experience in football competitions having had spells with IFK Värnamo, Helsingborgs IF, Vålerenga, Halmstads BK, Eintracht Braunschweig and MSV Duisburg so far in his career.

The Ghanaian-born defender still remains fit to play for Ghana on the international stage having featured for the Swedish national youth teams.
