The Finnish top-tier campaigners have announced the signing of the forward of Ghanaian origin in this ongoing summer transfer window

German-born Ghanaian forward Kevin Appiah Nyarko has joined Finnish Veikkausliiga club SJK Seinäjoki on a two-year contract, with an option of extension to a further year upon its expiration, the club have confirmed.

The 23-year-old former SC Fortuna Köln youth star is joining the OmaSP Stadion outfit on a free transfer after leaving Swedish Superettan side Varbergs BoIS this summer.

A portion of an official confirmation over the signing of the Ghana-prospect striker read: ''Seinäjoki Football Club has signed a player contract with 23-year-old center forward Kevin Appiah Nyarko . The contract now extends until the end of the 2027 season and includes a one-year extension option.''

Nyarko said of his move via the club's official media: ''I have already settled in here somewhat, although it all happened quite suddenly. This is a small town but it seems nice and I look forward to getting to know it better. The conditions at the club are top-notch and there are good players here. I have been well received. The team has been playing well now, and the goal is of course to finish as high in the league as possible and at least grab a place in the European competition, if we don’t even win the whole league. Personally, my goal is to help the team and score a lot of goals – that’s my job here.''

SJK head coach Stevie Grieve added: ''Kevin has been a good scorer in Sweden, and this is a good opportunity for us. He is good in the box and makes runs behind the lines with excellent speed, and otherwise moves well when he gets into the game. He is also a guy who fits our team in terms of personality, so we are looking forward to the rest of the season with him.''

Born and raised in Germany to Ghanian parents, the 23-year-old remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
