The talented nimble-footed attacking midfielder has penned fresh terms with his current employers, with the new deal set to come to a close in 2029
Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang has signed a four-year contract extension with Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old, who was a transfer target for Dutch giants Feyenoord Rotterdam, Spanish outfit Real Valladolid and French side AS Saint Etienne in this current transfer window, is now set to remain with his employers beyond this summer after being tied down to a long-term contract for the 2025-26 season.
An official confirmation over the contract extension of the former WAFA youngster read: ''Boris Matic and Emmanuel Agyemang extend their contracts with the Wolfpack until 2029.''
''Emmanuel Agyemang, who joined Wolfsberg from Ghana at the beginning of 2024, has also extended his contract until summer 2029. After strong performances with the reserve team in the spring of the 2023/24 season, the 21-year-old central midfielder was a fixture in the first team last season, contributing three goals and six assists in 28 appearances. Emmanuel has also played in every game this season.''
''Congratulations on the contract extension, Boris and Emmanuel! We look forward to many more successful years together with you!''
He had this to tell his club's official media right after appending his signature to the new deal over the extension: ''I'm very happy to extend my contract with WAC and I can't wait to celebrate further successes – like last year's cup victory – together with our fans!"
Agyemang has so far featured in 7 games for Wolfsberger AC across all competitions in this current Bundesliga 25/26 campaign.
He is yet to be cap-tied by the Ghana Men's Senior National Team, the Black Stars at the international level.
