Iraq based forward Abdul Fatawu Safiu has taken a swipe at some Ghanaian clubs over the inappropriate treatment meted out to their players.

The former Asante Kotoko and Inter Allies player accused the domestic clubs of not taking their players' welfare to heart as they rather spew gibberish statements when offers from Iraq arrive.

Safiu's annoyance comes on the back of Legon Cities FC goalkeeper William Essu's sinking health which has caused an uproar, as he's home lacerated and appealing for financial assistance to treat himself.

The Al-Sinaa SC star believes the clubs have a wider issue to address rather than criticizing players for signing for teams in Iraq.

“They will see us going to Iraq, some of them will start talking nonsense Mtcheww," wrote Safiu on Twitter.
