Richard Osei Agyemang, former captain of Ashanti Gold SC has stated that he moved to India to join I-League club Real Kashmir because of money.

The 27-year-old centre=back laments how players are paid meager salaries in the Ghana Premier League

According to Agyemang, a player who has plied his trade in the Ghanaian top tier for five to six years cannot boast of even GH₵‎50,000 in his bank account.

“No Ghana premier league player can boast of 50k cedis in his account for playing in the league for 5 to 6 years. I decided to move to India for the money. The GPL can’t afford that.” Agyemang said in an interview with Wontumi FM.
