English-born Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has revealed how he quit football when he was just 15 years old and some tough moments he went through in the early stages of his career 

The 25-year-old is enjoying his best season so far having delivered consistent top-notch performances for the Cherries and is undoubtedly one of the supporter's favourite at the Vitality Stadium.

He has 18-goal involvements this season in 41 appearances in all competitions scoring 11 and providing 7 assists 

Speaking in a recent interview, the Black Stars forward disclosed that he nearly stopped playing football due to what his coach told him when he was just 15 but never allowed that to break him as he serged on to reach this stage of his career and still want to do more

"I quit football at the age of 15 because my coach back then said I was not good enough. I started as a midfielder when I began my football career. My aim is to make defenders hate me."

The lanky striker recent game was last night when he lasted the entire duration for AFC Bournemouth in their 3-1 away defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium 

Antoine Semenyo has popped up on the radar of several clubs and is most likely he will make a move in the upcoming summer transfer window
