Ghanaian international, Forson Amankwah after extending his contract with Austrian heavyweights RB Salzburg, has expressed excitement and disclosed he wants to leave a mark at the Red Bull Arena.
The 20-year-old agreed to a new contract with the Red Bulls until 2027 following his explosive start to the ongoing season, having spent only two years so far, joining in 2021 from Ghanaian side WAFA.
Speaking on his extension, the budding-talented winger expressed ecstacy and added he is enjoying life since getting there and will hope to help the club achieve more success.
“I'm pleased about the club's trust and the early contract extension because I feel very comfortable here. The opportunities for further development here are great, I would like to take advantage of them in the future and be successful with the team."
The mercurial winger, was sent out on a season long loan in his first two years, having featured for clubs like Liefering and Rheindorf Altach, and was really impressive with his stellar display which earned him a return to his parent-club.
On his return to Red Bull Salzburg, Amankwah has started the season on a blistering note and is already involved in six goals; four goals and two assists in twelve matches in all competitions so far this season.
Forson Amankwah has never featured for any of the Ghana national teams and will definitely hope for Black Stars invite in future.
