Ghanaian international Gideon Mensah has declared that he wants to play in the English Premier League and the Spanish La Liga.
The former WAFA player who spent the 2021/22 season on loan in the French Ligue 1 says, "I would love to play in the English Premier League and Spanish La Liga. I am a very aggressive player and these two leagues I think will fit my style of play," he told Accra-based Asaase Radio.
"The French league is the toughest one I’ve played in my career so far and it has been a good learning experience playing against world-class players," he added.
Mensah also has ambitions to play at the World Cup and hopes to make the squad to the global showpiece later this year as he has been able to be a regular in coach Otto Addo's Black Stars team.
"My Ghana Black Stars journey has not been easy because we went to the AFCON and I had not played a single game but to have the trust of the new coach has been great for me."
"When I was called on for the Nigeria game I was proud but more importantly, I wanted to vindicate the coach’s trust in me and prove why I was in the team."
The attack-minded defender featured in 23 Ligue 1 matches for Bordeaux last season but has since left to his parent club - Red Bull Salzburg after the end of his loan spell.
