Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad has arrived in Ethiopia to seal a switch to Ethiopian Premier League side Ethiopian Coffee FC ahead of the upcoming season.
The 21-year-old goalie ended his eight-year stint with the Porcupine Warriors after his contract expired last month and failed to secure an extension.
It was somehow very difficult for the former Black Satellites goalie who lost his position to Frederick Asare and made only 13 appearances for Kotoko in the 2023/24 football season.
After being linked with lots of clubs including giants Hearts of Oak, it turns out Danlad Ibrahim has agreed personal terms already with the Morning Stars and is scheduled to have his medicals tomorrow.
Ethiopian Coffee SC finished third last season in the Ethiopian Premier League, and are hoping to build a very strong side this time in order to compete for the ultimate in the next campaign.
During his time with Asante Kotoko, Danlad made significant contributions to the team, representing Ghana at various youth levels, including the U-17, U-20, and U-23 teams, as well as the senior national team, the Black Stars.
He was also part of the Black Stars final squad at the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.
