Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman revealed that he consulted fellow countryman Tariq Lamptey before finalizing his move to the Premier League. Osman and Lamptey had spent time together in the Black Stars camp during the World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Mali.

Reflecting on their conversations, Osman shared, “It was cool with him in the Black Stars camp although we didn’t speak a lot but with his help, he has been telling me about the city and the club,” in an interview with TV3.

Osman’s excitement is also fueled by his connection with Simon Adingra, a former teammate from the Right to Dream Academy who made a notable impact at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year and emerged as one of Brighton’s standout players in last season’s Premier League.

Osman reminisced about their shared past, saying, “It was only a few years ago when the two boys were walking the streets of the academy as young footballers with big dreams and now they will be playing together at the same club.” He expressed his eagerness to reunite with his old friend and get started at the new club, noting, “I have been speaking to Simon for quite some time also about the club and he tells me a lot. I can’t wait to connect with them at the club and get going.”
