Ibrahim Sadiq scores, provides two assists as AZ Alkmaar romp SC Heerenveen 9-1 in Eredivisie

Former Ghana youth international Ibrahim Sadiq continued his impressive performance for AZ Alkmaar with a goal and two assists in their heavy win over SC Heerenveen in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday evening.

AZ Alkmaar maintained their perfect start of the 2024–25 season with a resounding 9-1 home win over SC Heerenveen to extend their unbeaten streak to five games.

Dutch international Sven Mijnans opened the floodgate for AZ Alkmaar with a strike in the 4th minute, but the visitors responded with the equalizer in the 19th minute through Luuk Brouwers.

Sadiq teed up to help four-goal hero Troy Parrott score twice in the 23rd and 48th minutes before registering his name on the score sheet in the 72nd minute of the game.

Troy Parrott extended their lead with two quick goals before the hour mark as Mexx Meerdink, Kristijan Belic, and Zico Buurmeester found the back of the net to complete their demolition exercise at home.

The former Ghana U20 lasted for 74 minutes before he was replaced by Jayden Addai, as young goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro enjoyed the full duration of the game for AZ Alkmaar.

Sadiq has netted two goals and provided three assists in five appearances for AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie this season.
