Ghanaian international, Ibrahim Sulemana netted his first Atalanta goal in their precious 2-1 win over AS Roma last night to secure a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League

The 21-year-old who netted the important goal of the season was introduced as a replacement for Mario Pašalić in the 68th minute

Nigerian international Ademola Lookman opened the scoring for the hosts in the 9th minute before Bryan Cristante levelled for Roma in the 32nd minute of the game.

With fourteen minutes to full time, the former Cagliari middleman scored a spectacular to restore the host' lead and wrapped up the win leaving the Bergamo fans in raptures

With just two games to end the season, Atalanta BC needed all three maximum points to confirm their qualification for the Champions League next season

Having netted his first in the blue-black shirt which happens to be the crucial goal to secure European football next season, the Black Stars midfielder expressed delight and added the entire squad are very excited for the victory

"I'm really happy with this goal, it was our goal and we achieved it. Gasperini told me to let the forwards play and then we managed to score. We worked so hard, we only look at ourselves and we're very happy".

Sulemana has made only seven Serie A appearances for Atalanta BC in this season's campaign so far.
