The former Dynamo Dresden forward is reportedly set to ink a fresh term with the newly-promoted top-flight outfit as his current deal is set to expire in June 2026

Newly-promoted Bundesliga side Hamburger SV are preparing to offer Ghana international striker Ransford Königsdörffer a new contract ahead of the 2025-26 football campaign, according to a report from the German media.

The 23-year-old was an ever-present figure in the set-up of the Die Rothosen as his immense contributions with 14 goals in 32 games played an integral role in helping his side secure qualification to the Bundesliga this term after seven years in the second division contest.

Per KICKER, those in charge of affairs at the Volksparkstadion are now keen to retain the services of the Ghana international and are assiduously working around the clock to tie him down to a new deal over contract extension in the summer following his stupendous outings so far this season.

Ransford, who netted twice in their 6-1 drubbing of Ulm in their penultimate fixture this term, is expected to be an important figure for manager Merlin Polzin in the German elite competition next season.

He currently boasts of 4 caps with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars since switching nationality allegiance to represent the west African superpowers at the international level.
