Sporting director Frank Spitzer added: ''I've had my eye on him for a few years now because he has really good qualities for a central defender. He's a very exciting player who's on the right track. He played in the Regionalliga for two years and was a regular there. This season, in particular, he has delivered very consistent performances. Several candidates were interested in him, so we are very happy that he chose us and will play for Eintracht Norderstedt next season.''
Before sealing his deal with his new employers, Yago featured in 25 games for FC Teutonia 05 across all competitions in this current 2024-25 campaign.
