Spanish topflight side Celta Vigo have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian youngster Bernard Somuah from Asante Kotoko after an impressive loan stint. 

Somuah, initially joined Celta on loan in 2024 and later had the deal extended for another season following his progress with the club’s reserve side, Celta Fortuna. His performances convinced the Spanish outfit to secure his services permanently. 

The Sky Blues have been impressed with the transfer and agreed to hand him a four-year contract, marking a major step in his development. 

Reacting to the move, the versatile attacker posted this on his official Facebook page after the move

The 20-year-old forward has been one of the standout players for Celta Fortuna this season, scoring five goals and playing an influential role in their campaign. 

His recent goal came against Celta Vigo B in their thrilling 4-2 victory over Real Avilés in Group 1 of the Spanish Primera Federación round 24.

The young attacker will now look to build on his impressive form as he aims to break into the senior team and make his mark in Spanish football.
