Danish side FC Nordsjaelland have announced that Ghanaian international Caleb Yirenkyi has extended his contract with them in what has been a very refreshing news to their supporters.
The 19-year-old joined from Right to Dream Academy in 2024 and has been outstanding since arrival having risen greatly from the youth team into the senior side after he secured a permanent promotion early this year.
He has now made 29 appearances in the Danish Superliga since last season with three goals and four assists and is definitely hoping to better his numbers going forward.
With his already existing contract set to expire in 2029, Yirenkyi after a fruitful agreement has agreed to another six months deal which will now maintain him at the Right to Dream Park until 2030, to fend off interest from some top European clubs.
Speaking after the extension, he expressed excitement and is looking forward to getting better.
“I’m happy about the extension, and now I just want to continue to drive and do as well as I possibly can for FC Nordsjælland,” he said.
“Over the past year, I have learned an incredible amount, and the coaches and my teammates always make sure I’m still learning something new every single day. I’m not a person who looks that far ahead - I’m taking it day by day.”
The versatile midfielder played a pivotal role in helping the Black Stars qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and has six appearances so far in the national cookouts despite debuting just this year.
Caleb Yirenkyi is once again expected to be in action tomorrow when Tigers hit the road to face AGF in round 13 of the Superliga on Friday, October 24, 2025.
