Ghanaian attacking midfielder Bernard Mensah continued his impressive performance for Al Tai by scoring two goals and registering an assist in their seven-goal thriller win over Al Raed in the Saudi Pro League on Friday evening.
Al Tai FC came from behind to secure a 4-3 home victory over Al Raed in the Saudi Pro League match-week 14 encounter at the Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa'ed Stadium.
The visitors, Al Raed took a two-goal before the half-hour mark courtesy a 12th minute spot-kick converted by Julio Tavares and Yahya Sunbul's strike in the 27th minute.
Mensah reduced the deficit for Al Tai FC when he elected himself to struck a penalty awarded to them on the stroke of halftime.
Al Raed restored their two-goal lead through Karim El Berkaoui in the 72nd minute to deepen the woes of the home side.
However, it was a dramatic end when Al Tai FC secured all three maximum points thanks to an own goal scored by Abdullah Al-Fahad.
Mensah popped up once again to convert a penalty given to his side in the 99th minute to make it 3-3 before delivering a brilliant pass to Dutch international Virgil Misidjan to score the match-winner for Al Tai.
The 29-year-old, who has retired prematurely from the senior national team of Ghana, has now scored eight goals and provided an assist in 12 appearances for Al Tai FC in his maiden Saudi Pro League season.
Mensah joined Al Tai FC on a free transfer after ending his stay at Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor.
