Ghana international Inaki Williams scored his first goal of the pre-season as Athletic Bilbao recorded an impressive 3-0 victory over Burgos in a preseason friendly.
The experienced forward found the back of the net late in the game to wrap up a convincing win for the Basque side after another encouraging team performance.
Athletic Club took the lead through new signing Jesus Areso in the 14th minute before Robert Navarro doubled the advantage in the 63rd minute. Williams then completed the scoring seven minutes from full-time to seal the victory.
The goal marks the Ghanaian captain’s first of the pre-season after featuring in two friendly matches as he continues preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
Williams will be hoping to build on the performance as Athletic Club step up preparations for the new season, with the Black Stars forward expected to play a key role once again for the Spanish side.
