Former Ghana international striker Iñaki Williams has declared that he is retiring at Spanish La Liga giants Athletic Club as it's currently impossible for him to wear another club jersey.

The experienced wing-forward, who has been with the Bilbao-based club since 2012 at age 14, has yet to take in another spell elsewhere since bursting onto the football scene in the Spanish top-flight.
Nonetheless, the prolific goal poacher, who has reached a milestone in playing over 500 matches for his current side, is extremely satisfied with his career journey with the Basque football club so far and wants to hangs up his boots at the Estadio San Mamés.
Speaking in an interview, the former Black Stars frontman has told Radio Nacional de Espana: ''Impossible. I’m retiring here [Athletic Club]. I don’t want to wear any jersey other than Athletic’s. I am very proud to have been part of this, and when the club decides I am no longer a key part of the team, I will step aside.''

lnaki revealed his harboured private goal when he finally retires from the 24-time Copa Del Rey holders by stating; ''I’ll go to San Mames with my son to watch new legends grow.''
He has so far netted onces and provided 2 assists across all competitions for The Lions in this current 2026/27 football season.
