Athletico Bilbao forward, Inaki Williams after withdrawing from the Black Stars game against Madagascar, is set to undergo surgery on his right knee- an Injury which has been tormenting him for weeks now.
The lanky forward is yet to score since switching his nationality last year but was once again handed a call up by coach Chris Hughton for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
The 28-year-old attacker in a statement on his official twitter account announced that he has informed the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Black Stars technical team led by Chris Hughton over his decision to withdraw for this month's game against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
According to Inaki Williams, he has opted out of the national team to undergo medical examination on his right knee which has affected his output in the final stages of the just ended season.

He didn't start the season well but ended on a blistering note after scoring 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 36 matches.
