Spanish-born Ghanaian striker, Inaki Williams has expressed elation after scoring a brace against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League last night and believes it's always very positive to pick up a win in Turkey and feels they won as a results of a general team work.

Williams, who lasted 85 minutes in the game action, scored twice to help Athletic Bilbao stay unbeaten in the Europa League with a 2-0 away win at 10-man Fenerbahce.

The Black Stars attacker has scored four goals in six matches for Athletic Bilbao in the competition so far this season and is hoping for more in their subsequent games.

The 30-year-old has now notched up eight goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances across all competitions for the Estadio San Mames outfit.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the lanky forward said they delivered a great game generally and having their fans behind them made this win a very positive one.

"The truth is that coming to Turkey and getting this result is very positive for us. We are happy that thousands of fans joined and we hope that you have enjoyed today because it has been tough. It couldn’t work out better. I think that in the end, going 2-0 up always weakens the opposing team."

“We knew that coming here to Turkey was going to be complicated. I think the team has played a great game in general."

Bilbao moved to the top of the table with 16 points from six games in the league phase of the revamped competition and are already through to the round 16 of the UEFA Europa League.
