Embryonic Italo-Ghanaian forward Godberg Barry Cooper has joined Romania's FC UTA Arad from fellow Liga 1 side Chindia Târgoviște.
The 25-year-old versatile forward inked a one-year with 'The Old Ladies' of Romania football with an option for an extension for another season.
Cooper spent one successful year in Chindia were he scored five goals, fired one assist in 27 matches in the 2022-23 season.
"I am very happy that I will be part of the family of this club full of history and passion. I am extremely impatient to start the work," Cooper stated after signing the dotted lines.
Cooper was born in Bergamo in Northern Italy to Ghanaian parents and came up through the ranks at Atalanta B.C youth side and went on to play for Italian lower sides Aurora Seriate Calcio, USD Scanzorosciate (loan), ASD Verdello (loan).
He went ahead to feature for Portuguese sides Clube Condeixa, Arouca, Sporting Clube de Espinho (loan), SC Vianense (loan).
Cooper went on to play in Switzerland, Albania and North Macedonia for FK Makedonija before joining Chindia Târgoviște în Romania.
