English Championship side Middlesbrough have completed the signing of forward Daniel Nkrumah from Leyton Orient on a two-year contract.
The East London born of Ghanaian descent joins Boro for an undisclosed fee and will officially link up with the club's academy from 1st July.
Nkrumah, 19, came through the ranks at Leyton Orient, where he made his professional debut in the Papa Johns Trophy in September 2021.
His debut in Papa Johns Trophy tourney was the first of seven senior appearances for Orient, including three in League Two towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign. Last season saw further first-team opportunities in two loan spells across the capital with Vanarama National League South side Welling United, where Nkrumah scored two goals in ten appearances.
His move to the North Yorkshire club has now been confirmed, with Boro's development side now boasting a sharp talent pool that includes Nkrumah's compatroit Terrell Agyemang who was captured last week from Manchester City.
"Delighted to announce I have signed for Middlesborough! I want to thank God because this is a product of His mercy. Excited to take this new step in my career. Time to work!" Nkrumah took to social media after inking the deal.
