The budding midfield enforcer, who has been likened to Ghana and Chelsea legend Michael Essien, is looking forward to teaming up with the senior side of the Viimsi Stadium outfit in this current campaign
Ghanaian defensive midfielder Latif Aziz is eyeing first-team promotion with Estonian Esiliiga club Viimsi JK in the just started 2026-27 football season.

The 19-year-old promising teenager, who joined up with the Second Division club from Ghanaian academy club Young African Promises FC, has been drafted into the U21 setup so as to continue with his developmental stages as a youngster.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kickgh.com from his base via a phone call, the potential Ghana U20 star is oozing with confidence that first-team football would be savoured by the close of the current campaign after settling in so well with the youth team in his debut season so far.

He said: ''l think since l arrived here [Viimsi JK], things have been moving on well for me with the support of management and the playing body. So in view of this, l can't demand much more over my adaption to life in Estonia although l am still in my developmental stages having migrated to Europe this year.''
After being drafted into the U21 ranks, the enterprising midfielder is still having his sights on gaining promotion to the first team as he believes his performance with the youth side so far is enough to catch the eyes of the technical bench of the senior team in ensuring his integration into their squad setup very soon.

''Since l came together with my colleague ( Emmanuel Agyemang ), the club have decided to put us into the Under-21 youth team due to our age brackets. Even though, we sometimes train with the first-team. But l can confidently say that, come by the end of the season, l will be with the main team as that remains my ultimate goal for this term judging from my performances with the U21.''
Due to his playing style on the pitch, the Ghana national football team prospect has been dubbed ''Junior Michael Essien'' by his team-mates as he works on his young career to follow in his footsteps to stardom.
