The teenager had nothing but full of encomium for his team-mate given his high-flying outings with the Farum-based club in this current campaign

Ghanaian teenage sensation  Prince Amoako Junior has hailed his countryman and FC Nordsjaelland team-mate Caleb Yirenkyi following his impressive performances in the Danish Superliga so far this season.

The 20-year-old, who rejected a transfer move worth €18 million to an unnamed English Premier League side during the 11th hour of the January transfer window, has so far established himself as a central figure at the Farum Park since being drafted into the mainstream squad in 2025.

However, given his consistent performances in this current campaign, 18-year-old winger Amoako has now been left with no other option than to lavished praises on the man whom he grew up with at their Ghanaian-based Right to Dream academy, with the 20-year-old told ''It's a huge pleasure to be on the team with someone I grew up with and have played with for a long time'' as he continues to forge a reputation at his side ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the summer.

''We all know how amazing Caleb is,'' the nimble-footed wideman began his praises on the Black Stars man in an interview with BOLD. ''It's a huge pleasure to be on the team with someone I grew up with and have played with for a long time. It means a lot to me to see how he shines on the pitch. He just has to keep on scratching. It's good for all of us here at the club.''

He continued: ''I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the step to a bigger club and comes with Ghana to the World Cup this summer. He deserves all the good things that come to him.''

Given his red-hot form, he has so far taken in 22 games by netting twice and assisting five for FCN across all competitions in this current 2025-26 football season.

Yirenkyi, who is in contention to make his bow in the 2026 World Cup, has 8 caps for Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars on the international stage.
