Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has once lauded the performance of Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo on the back of shinning again in Manchester City’s emphatic win over Fulham.
The 26-year-old is undoubtedly enjoying his best ever season having netted and assisted again in Manchester City’s 3-0 win against the West London-based side in round 26 of the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
It took the Cityzens 24 minutes to open the scoring account courtesy the Black Stars striker, who serged on to set up youngster Nico O’Reilly for the second just six minutes later.
Elite gunman Erling Haaland sealed the win with six minutes to half time with a very neat finish to wrap up the win.
Manchester City turned up the heat in the Premier League title race by taking apart Fulham in the first-half to close the gap on leaders Arsenal to just three points.
Pep Guardiola in his post-match presser, was full of praises for the ex- Bournemouth marksman stating why he is an integral member of his team despite arriving just recently and added that he’s signed a top level player.
“[Semenyo] has a sense of the second balls in the box but not just that the pace and intensity. He is a top, top player," said Guardiola after the game.
“The club made a good mark [signing Semenyo] and Antoine is an incredible signing," he added.
Semenyo has now scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 25 Premier League appearances in the ongoing season so far and will hope for a starting place against Salford City in the FA Cup this weekend
