Ivorian-born of Ghanaian heritage Mohamed Baba Diomande has been handed an invitation to represent the senior national team of Ghana for this month's international friendlies.

Black Stars new coach Otto Addo has included the ex-Right to Dream Academy graduate in his 26-man squad list for the two friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda later this month.

The 22-year-old central midfielder, who recently joined Scottish outfit Rangers FC, has received a call-up to play for Ghana after agreeing to represent Ghana at the senior level.

The former FC Nordsjaelland captain was eligible to play for either Ghana or Ivory Coast and had already featured for the Ivorians at the U23 level in March 2023.

Diomande has scored two goals and provided an assist in his 10 game outings for Rangers FC this season so far.

Ghana is scheduled to take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on March 22 before facing Uganda on March 26 in international friendlies at the Stade Grade Marrakech in Morocco.
