Former Black Stars winger, Jeffrey Schlupp was in the thick of affairs last night for Celtic who played out a pulsating 1-1 draw away at giants Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
The 32-year-old came on as a substitute in the first leg and gave a very good account of himself but still lost 1-2 at the Celtic Park.
He was handed the starting berth last night by manager Brendan Rodgers and delivered an outstanding performance on the left hand side of defense earning himself an impressive 7.6 rating on Sofascore.
German international Nicolas-Gerrit Kühn opened the scoring account for the visitors in the 63rd minute and were very close to sending the game to extra time but a late Alphonso Davies goal handed the Bavarians the equalizer to win the tie.
Celtic FC will now have to shift their attention to the Scottish Premiership where they are currently on top after round 26 with 13 points difference.
Jeffrey Schlupp after this majestic performance will hope for more game time heading into their subsequent games.
