Former Brentford and Leicester City manager, Martin James Allen has asked West Ham United boss Graham Potter to drop Ghanaian international Kudus Mohammed following his recent goal-scoring drought.

The last time the Black Stars playmaker got on the score-sheet or involved himself in a goal was in December last year and is currently without a goal in his last nine games in all competitions.

However, in recent matches against Chelsea and Brentford, the 24-year-old was served with huge goal-scoring opportunities inside the box but couldn't make any of them count and that has started inviting pressure on him as he continues to struggle to meet the standard he set for himself last season.

In an interview, the 59-year-old English manager feels Kudus Mohammed will be relegated to the bench very soon since he isn't getting the goals now and wants Dutch international Crysencio Summerville to be handed the starting berth.

“You always as a manager have to work out and look at the stats. How many games has Kudus played? How many goals and assists has he made?

“Every club will have analysts now to put numbers in front of the manager who will then make a decision. If he’s going to go 20 games without scoring a goal or win any points for West Ham, you’ve got to question why he’s in the team.

“I think Summerville is going to be fit soon and will play ahead of him, at the minute Kudus is falling short of what would be needed for a winning team.“

Kudus Mohammed hasn't really been good this campaign with three goals and two assists so far in all competitions.

He will hope to get himself back on the score-sheet when they travel to Arsenal this weekend.
