Former Ghanaian international, Jeffrey Schlupp was in action for Celtic FC in their painful 1-2 home loss to German giants Bayern Munich last night in first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff round.
Schlupp, was introduced into the game in the 65th minute mark to replace Scottish international Greg Taylor in what was a typical open encounter at the Celtic Park.
Michael Olise opened the scoring account for the Bavarians with a beautiful finish in the dying embers of the first half.
Just four minutes into the second half, Harry Kane double Bayern's lead with a half-way acrobatic hit from a free kick but the homesters pulled one back through Japanese international Daizen Maeda with eleven minutes to full time as it finished 1-2.
The 32-year-old finally made a stunning eight-year return to the UEFA Champions League after his last appearance came in December 2016 for Leicester City against FC Porto.
Celtic FC will travel to the Allianz Arena for the return encounter on December 18, with the winner of the tie advancing to the round of 16.
