Belgium-Ghana winger Jesse Bisiwu has joined Barca Atletic from Club NXT, completing a move to the Spanish club at the age of 18.
Bisiwu has agreed a contract with Barca Atletic until 30 June 2031. The left winger, who is right-footed, arrives after playing in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League for Club NXT.
He made 36 appearances in the competition, scoring twice and providing two assists. Bisiwu also featured 14 times in the UEFA Youth League, where he scored three goals and registered one assist.
The teenager spent three seasons with Club NXT after joining from Club Brugge’s youth set-up in July 2023. His move to Club Brugge came three years earlier from OH Leuven’s academy on a free transfer.
Bisiwu’s arrival adds a young wide player to the Barca Atletic squad, with the teenager bringing experience of both senior domestic football and European youth competition despite his age. He operates primarily from the left side of attack.
His record in the Challenger Pro League includes 1,562 minutes of football, while he played 919 minutes in the UEFA Youth League. Those appearances represent the most substantial competitive action of his career to date.
Bisiwu holds Belgian and Ghanaian nationality. He now begins the next stage of his career in Spain after progressing through three Belgian clubs, moving from OH Leuven to Club Brugge before establishing himself at Club NXT.
The transfer was completed on 31 July 2026, and Bisiwu’s new agreement keeps him with Barca Atletic through the end of June 2031.
Barcelona already has three Ghanaian players namely David Oduro, Abdul Aziz Issah, and Hafiz Gariba in their youth system.
