Austrian second-tier outfit Admira Wacker have completed the signing of Ghanaian striker Benjamin Nyarko from Czech top-flight club Slovan Liberec in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old forward has joined the Datenpol Stadium outfit in a deal worth €200,000 after spending last season with Slovan Liberec, where he made 21 appearances across all competitions. Nyarko scored five goals and provided one assist during the campaign.
Admira Sporting Director Ralf Muhr expressed his delight at securing the services of the Ghanaian attacker, highlighting the qualities that convinced the club to pursue the transfer.
"With Benji, we have been able to win a robust and fast striker for Admira, who is also already internationally experienced," Muhr said.
"Both his and our expectations in the positive implementation of his qualities are high. He should give us additional offensive dynamism and, above all, the threat of finishing."
He arrives in Austria with a reputation for combining physical strength, pace and an eye for goal, attributes Admira believe will bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Nyarkom, who was nurtured by Ghanaian lower-tier side Mountain FC, has already represented Ghana at U17 level.
