Ghana goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott was involved in a friendly game as he nears a return to first team action after an injury spell.
Wollacott played the entirety of a Charlton U-21 friendly game 2-1 win over AFC Bournemouth behind closed doors.
He suffered a broken finger that ruled him out of contention for a place in Ghanaโs Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
The 26-year-old was in a strong position to be named as the starter in goal for the four time African champions but the broken finger forced him to miss out on what would have been his debut World Cup.
Wollacott helped the Black Stars to secure qualification to the FIFA World Cup for the fourth time by making crucial saves in the final play-off games against Nigeria in Abuja.
Prior to the injury, Wollacott had conceded 20 goals and kept four clean sheets in 16 games in all competitions.
