Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil scored in KRC Genk one-all draw with Olympiacos in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers on Thursday evening.

KRC Genk suffered a painful elimination from the qualification following a 1-1 draw with the Greek Super League side in the second leg fixture. Olympiacos have progressed to the next round on a 2-1 aggregate after securing a 1-0 win in the first leg.

Paintsil opened the score for KRC Genk from the spot in the 30th minute of the game after missing an earlier penalty awarded to them. However, he was sent off with a straight red card for unsportsmanlike behavior on the 65th minute.

A late goal from Sotiris Alexandropoulos shocked the fans at the Cegeka Arena with his strike on the 96th minute of the game.

Paintsil has been linked with a move away from KRC Genk this summer transfer window following his explosive performance since last season.
